HI, I'M NINA
the chief designer and creator of Posh & Pearls.
I started Posh & Pearls as a way to be true to who I am and finally explore the creativity I had locked inside of me.
My mom was a creative and she loved it with every ounce of her being, but making a living as an independent artist I saw her struggle, and things got worse when she became sick.
It still breaks my heart that she couldn’t live her dream, that she passed away before she could do more.
When she got sick, I packed away my creative dreams and started studying business to become a manager. I hoped to make a lot of money so she would be proud of me, but pursuing the traditional left me miserable and depressed, even dealing with suicidal ideation.
I started beading as a creative outlet and I’ve enjoyed it so much ever since. Designing and crafting unique jewellery gives me such joy and I couldn’t be happier.
There’s nothing I love more than handcrafting and designing custom pieces that make people smile.
Now I understand what my mom felt as an independent artist, and I’ve realised that I can follow my own dreams while still making her proud of me as she watches from above.
